Nutrition at the cost of Nothingness.

The man eating mammal, neatly bisected the flesh and divided its share.  Every accomplice relished and rejoiced the ripe offering.
A few hours back, agile and alive he was, walking the earth. Now his mortal remains, served a sumptuous meal.

Few yards away, a tent party was taking shape. Bon Fire, light music, live classical performance & some tangy food.
Limited by choice but rich in variety the menu offered

1) Salmon Soup  2) Beef Stew  3)Crab Curry   4)Fish Molee 5) Seasame Chicken

The Banynan & Neem tree stood still with astonished expressions.
A common thought ran their minds.
A unison prayer left their lips " Thank God, you made us feed on ourselves and not others"

Putting it this way, it does sound quite gory. Love how you wrote this from a tree's perspective.
