3 Bells of the Old Man

The clock strikes 10.30. A telephone bell rings, Michael attends the call. During his phone conversation, there is a call at the door bell. He keeps the phone on hold and answers the door bell- a parcel is delivered.
About 20 mins later, 2 of them reported missing.

Lobo was curious. This was the 3rd incident within a span of 5 days.

Michael was on the top of Lobo's suspicion list. There was pattern or a connection in the way things occurred. He decided to keep a close watch on Michael and his activities. He wanted to understand, the link between - the Clock Bell, Telephone Bell and the Door Bell.

Micheal was an old man staying alone. His daily routine was slow and anything less than interesting. He woke up past 6.00, did a bit of gardening, went for a walk. Returned home, bathed, had bread and honey for breakfast with a glass of milk. By the time, he finished breakfast time is 10:20 am. Lobo has all eyes on Michael.
The clock struck 10:30. Michael rushed to the telephone, he was anticipating the usual phone call. The call came. During the call, the door bell rang, he attended.

Lobo hurriedly checks all his friends are safe. 3 missing!!! On investigating he learns, they had gone to the glass tower. Lobo rushes to the tower. Tower surface is slippery and translucent. With best grip possible, he climbs the sides of the tower.
From its translucent walls, he can see his friends lying inside... unconscious... or probably even worse...

"Its a honey trap", Lobo snaps. He recalls the sequence of events as they occurred.. Michael opens the honey jar for breakfast. Aroma of honey attract his friends to the jar. By the time they relish its sweetness, Michael is done with breakfast, and he closes the jar. Once and for all they stay trapped inside. Ant Lobo feels sorry for this friends.

Nice twist to your story. I didn't expect that but enjoyed it nevertheless.

I really enjoy your writing. I believe I read one of your stories before. The last part about the honey reminded me of Winnie the Pooh Bear. Looking forward to your other stories :)
