A to Z Challenge - My Theme-  City Connect - my connect with....
Aurangabad-Schooling & Junior College / Bombay- Graduation & First job/ Chennai - Marriage & Motherhood

AURANGABAD

JAGADAMBA - A typical local sweet shop, where "Jalebis & Imrathees" would get fried right in front of your eyes. Take a few steps close to the frying pan & you can even feel the heat of the oil. Sweets of Jagadamba, came home, whenever Dad visited the market. My liking of "Pedda" [ Indian milk sweet] originates from this shop.

BOMBAY
JUST BOOKS- Education completed- Employment started - Engagement & wedding yet to be announced. If anything kept me entertained during this period- it was JustBooks Library at Nerul. Maximum reading happened at this time. Sidney Sheldon reruns/ Amish Tripathi genre/ Dan Brown classics/ Chetan Bhagat series.....the list can go on......

CHENNAI
JALLIKATTU- Ask me, if I know any regional sports name & Jallikkatu is the only one I can think of.  Thanks to the extensive media coverage it got a few years back. I am too new & naive to speak about this sport.  But , it made me realize, that matters of regional importance will tend to stay within a region if not put up for national viewing.

Jallikattu is a 2000 year old bull taming sports in Tamil Nadu. Some people think it is the same as Spanish bull fight. It is not. In Spanish bull fight you can kill/hurt the bull. In Jallikattu you are not supposed to kill/hurt the bull. The object is to take the money tied to the horns of the bull.

Great memories! That's funny how a smell can be a long time memory.
