Penalty Blackout

1) Meenu tried to switch on the lights of the room. The room was dark, but her counting skills were great. She knew the light switch was 4th from left. She counted, switched it on and  patiently waited for the room to lit. But the lights never came in.

2) At 34 degrees , she was sweating hard. She reached out to the fan switch, pressed it hard, looked up to the fan, but it wouldn't start.

3) Suddenly she felt  chilled water beneath her legs. Ice formation from the sides of the freezer had completely melted. Perils - she screamed. Perils of using an age old refrigerator. It always needs a manual defrost.

Electricity supply was on, but electrical appliances were not working.

Stabilizers performed well - but gadgets stayed mute.

Meenu had got used to this situation. What followed - was a mundane course of action :

• She picked up the phone and dialled the "Wastage Board" 
• She put up a telephonic request for "Gadgets Restart".
• A "Penalty Pin Number" was generated along with "Units of Electricity Wasted" and "Penalty Amount"
• It also had a statutory warning :  To regret such inconvenience in future - Stop Wastage of Electricity

Meenu made the payment-  the functioning was restored. But yet again - the warning was ignored.
